Mathieu Moussa
Canadian, Lebanese based in Beirut, Lebanon
For the decade, I have worked heavily in the field of Enterprise Web and Mobile-app front-end development, User Research and User Interface Design.
I joined CCT International a few days after graduating from the American University of Beirut with an MS in Computer Science. Today, I’m the Lead User Experience Designer and Project Manager at CCT in Beirut, creating the digital experiences for products that are used at AUB, the Municipality of Beirut, as well as CCC’s mega-construction projects such as Abu Dhabi Airport, Dubai Opera House, and Riyadh Metro Project, to name a few.
Constantly learning, I was awarded the both the Design Thinking (Best in Class) and the User Research (Top 10% in Class) certificate, by the reputed Interactive Design Foundation.
A storyteller by nature and a proficient writer/designer, I’ve also assisted leading Lebanese startups at ALTCITY in redesigning their stories and pitch decks to appeal to stakeholders and investors.

My research and creative approach—no matter what the challenge—involves a lot of empathy, curiosity, communication, and strategy. I dig deep into User Research, discovering Personas, tracing out User Flows, and applying other qualitative and quantitative experiments to learn more about user behaviors. After making sure that we are building 'the right product', I transition into building 'the product right'.
I use my agile design skills to iterate over several UI options, starting with low-fidelity prototypes and ending with client-side development supervision to produce the pixel-perfect interface.
For me, a compelling User Experience transcends its visual aesthetics by being able to empathize with its users’ needs and offering the final product that is not only usable and useful, but one that users want to come back to.
