How I lead

Some of the hardest work in design happens outside the team. Bringing a bank's legal, finance and Shariah teams behind one product direction. Convincing a founder to build what his travellers needed, not what he'd seen elsewhere. Moving design from the last step to the first conversation.

Leading the team is half the job. The other half is earning design a say in what gets built.

The CME Design Unit's 2023 Wrapped slide: designers connected across projects and domains, faster animation and graphic design delivery, design systems and DesignOps introduced, and 3 of 3 proofs of concept won.
